# Account deletion

Use this page only when you are ready to permanently close your Remapdb account.

You can open the deletion flow from [**Settings**](https://app.remapdb.com/settings) on the [**Account**](https://app.remapdb.com/settings) page.

  Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
</Warning>

## Before you delete your account

* Make sure your team no longer needs data in this account.
* Make sure no live customer workflow depends on your widget, WordPress plugin, or API access, including MCP-based AI tools.
* Make sure all account owners agree with permanent deletion.

## What you need

To confirm deletion, you must enter:

* Your exact account email
* Your current account password

## Delete your account

    Click your name at the bottom of the main navigation, click [**Settings**](https://app.remapdb.com/settings), then click [**Account**](https://app.remapdb.com/settings).

  <Step title="Open deletion modal">
    In the **Delete account** section, click the **Delete account** button.

  <Step title="Confirm credentials">
    In the modal, enter your **Email** and **Password**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Delete">
    Click the **Delete account** button in the modal.
  </Step>

## What happens after deletion

* Access to your account stops.
* Embedded widget usage stops.
* WordPress plugin connection stops.
* API access from this account stops, including direct API requests and MCP-based AI tools.

If credentials are wrong, deletion is blocked until correct values are entered.
